This mountaineers' refuge at 2,700 meters has recently been renovated. It is also accessible to hikers without mountain equipment, but only in summer.

On the first day of the Haute Route, you will be tuned to the ice world of the Valais Alps at the day's destination, the Refuge Albert 1er, with its superb views of the Le Tour glacier. Can also be planned as a day trip. The views are all worth it.

Really nice refuge near the glacier. Good food and nice staff. Worth the climb to it.
