Feuerkogel

The mountain station of the cable car is located on the Feuerkogel. Right next to the station - up a few stairs - is the mountain chapel at the back of which is the viewing terrace of the Feuerkogel.

Beautiful view of the Traunsee and the mountains all around. Looks beautiful too, when the Traunsee is still hidden under the fog.

A rewarding ride with the gondola to the mountain station on the Feuerkogel. Numerous hiking opportunities for young and old are available.

We ran up from the valley station.

The route was advertised as the most beautiful in the area. The right thing for forest lovers with staying power!

The view from the top 7th of the mountain is wonderful. In the lower part you have to be patient. The day before we were on the Schober (Fuschl am See) and not so carried away by the Feuerkogel hiking route.

But the mountain top view is wonderful!

In winter, there are next to the ski slope wonderful Schneewanderwege. Snowshoes can be rented at the station for a small fee.

Easy hiking tour with a 1 hour walk from the Feuerkogel mountain station. All-round light at the European cross.

The Feuerkogel owes its popularity as an excursion destination to the fact that both inexperienced walkers and experienced mountaineers get their money's worth in the mountains, as the range of hiking trails and alpine climbs is so diverse.
