Bike Touring Highlight
The former fishing and Lotsendorf in the west of Hamburg is located directly on the Elbe and is a popular destination and residence for well-heeled hamburger. One of the most beautiful hiking trails in Germany leads along the banks of the Elbe to Blankenese.
Picturesque streets, winding staircases and closely packed little houses: the Blankeneseer Treppenviertel on the Elbe, with its Mediterranean flair, is already something of a holiday resort on the Riviera. The Blankeneseer Bahnhofstraße looks like a small town in itself, with a church, weekly market, many well-sorted shops, restaurants and ice cream parlors. Cafés and restaurants with a view of passing seagoing ships invite to linger everywhere. There is also a lighthouse, which you can visit on a trip to Blankenese.
On a harbor cruise you have the opportunity to enjoy Blankenese from the water. From April to September, a HADAG regular service regularly visits Blankenese from the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken.
