This superb gravel trail links Redmires Reservoirs and Stanage Edge with untold riding opportunities in Hope Valley, Ladybower and beyond. From Stanage, you descend into a heart-melting view of the Peak District set below the rugged gritstone escarpment.
The compacted-gravel isn’t too technical. But watch out for the drainage ditches that cross the path, as they could cause a problem on a rigid bike if you hit them at speed while busy admiring the view.

Groomed off-road track that climbs up the side of Stanage Edge from the Plantation to Stanage Pole. It's a steady 8% climb or a fast descent depending which way you do it. This way can get super busy with cyclists and walkers in the summer though.

Fantastic landscapes, it was great to ride it during sunset and see the colours of the hills change with the light.
