Hiking
The path leads through the part of the raised bog that, after drainage, became overgrown with forest and was then used as a source of firewood.
This part is now also a nature reserve.
The path follows a ditch through the forest. Sturdy footwear is recommended. Some sections are covered with wooden planks to prevent sinking into the wet peat.
About halfway along the trail, the Celtic plank road ended. There was probably a cult site there, long before the Romans arrived in the area.
