The Wendelsteinhaus is just a short walk from the mountain station of the cog railway or the mountain station of the cable car. It was built between 1882 and 1883, approximately 100 meters below the summit. It features a panoramic restaurant, a mountain terrace, and a self-service beer hall. Open daily, year-round. There are no longer any overnight accommodations at the Wendelsteinhaus. The mountain restaurant and the viewing terrace are on the ground floor, making them easily accessible even for people with limited mobility.

Here you can find something warm and substantial to eat, along with a cool beer. Easily accessible by cable car or hiking trails. The prices are hefty, but after the climb, it was worth it to turn our efforts into summit celebrations!
