Wood Scale – Wechselburg Forest Adventure Trail

There are many wonderful places from where you have a dream view of the Zwickauer Mulde.

This approx. 50 meter high rock face is slightly in front of the left side of the Mulde. In thousands of years of work, the river has managed to break through the rock barrier and uncover a geologically extremely interesting rock formation. The cliffs are now also a refuge for numerous birds and other animals.

One of the loveliest family hiking trails in the Rochlitzer Muldental is clearly the Wechselburg forest adventure trail. There is always something new to discover on the approximately 9.5 kilometer route.
Ten stations are "threaded" on the tour, which make you want to take a closer look at the Rochlitz mountain forest and nature. Young and old compete with the animal world in the long jump, test their sense of balance, observe the forest from the perspective of a hunter or make music with wood.
Between the individual stations there are always special features and contemporary witnesses to be discovered. An accompanying booklet draws attention to the expiatory crosses, boundary stones, wonderful vantage points and historic buildings. It shows interesting things to the left and right of the path, which you are of course welcome to explore in sections.
