The Lochbach, formerly also called Brunnenlech, is a 14.5 km long left canal of the Lech in front of and in Augsburg. It is part of Augsburg's historic water management.
The Lochbach was already a canalized tributary of the Lech in the Middle Ages, supplying Augsburg's extensive canal network with water for use. As the Vorderer Lech, it powered four city mills as early as the 11th century, including the Pfladermühle. Source: Wikipedia.de
