A real sight is hidden in the forest. There used to be a railway line here, which soon after ran into a tunnel. This has since been closed. But this aqueduct still runs over the old railway line and allows the stream to continue its normal course into the valley.

In addition to the aqueduct, you can also inquire about the old course of the railway and look at the walled up tunnel entrance of the former railway line. However, the descent is more for experienced hikers!

This building, which is over 100 years old, leads a stream over the former Altenhundem-Birkelbach railway line. Only a few meters behind is the bricked west portal of the Heinsberg tunnel.
