Hiking

The cross, located on the hiking trail from Pünzendorf to Gügel, depicts Christ not as a crucified Christ with a crown of thorns on his head, as usual, but as a king with a crown, as ruler of the world. The model for this rare depiction of the cross on the wayside cross is the Christ the King Cross on the side altar in the Gügel pilgrimage church of St. Pankratius.
