Located in the heart of the old town is the listed and completely renovated Langenberg Historic Town Hall. Cultural and artistic events are held in this imposing, castle-like building. The impressive art exhibition "Foundation Stone Boxes" is located in the community center's gallery.

A magnificent, beautifully restored building that immediately catches the eye. The heart of the community center is the Great Hall, which offers ample space for events and concerts. Elaborate stucco work creates an incomparable atmosphere that turns every event into a unique experience. It also makes a beautiful photo opportunity in the beautiful surrounding old town.

Several houses in Langenberg were demolished to widen the main street in 1910. Because of the steep slope, there were no parties interested in redeveloping the property. In 1913, Adalbert Colsman and Sophie Colsman née Feldhoff made the city of Langenberg an offer to donate a large sum of money with the condition that a “citizenship center” be built at this location. They had already had the first drafts drawn up by their architect Arno Eugen Fritsche. The building should be available to the city's citizens as a festival and meeting room, for education, culture and sport. The city council accepted this gift and Fritsche was given the task of further planning. Because of the First World War, completion was delayed until 1917. Sports clubs, a community center choir and a community center orchestra were constant users of the house. According to the wishes of the founders, use of the house was free of charge. During the Second World War, the community center served as a military hospital for a time. Various renovations were carried out over time. A planned asbestos removal was the starting point for the discovery of significant construction defects and damage, which led to the house being closed in 2006. The reopening after a long renovation phase took place in April 2016.
