The section was a gap for a long time. Since the summer of 2019 you can now drive directly from Opladen station to the Balkan route.

Balkan route is great! Perfect asphalt and even to Burscheid without crossing roads! If there was still an underground connection to the right side of the Rhine and you would not always have to wander through this city bustle in Leverkusen ... I'm still looking for it.

You can now cycle to Opladen train station. However, the cycle path ends at a CAR PARKING LOT and the transition to the city center is not yet free of construction sites.

The Neue Bahnstadt is also nearby, where you have a great cityscape. The finished roads are also great for driving.

The parking lot is not ideal as an entry point, especially if you are not prepared for it

The route and the entrance need no further description. I'm a bit missing the signage for cyclists. If you come from Leverkusen I have not seen any indication of the route. Maybe I'll be taught better.
