Underground tomb under the Jesuit Church, set up in the early 1770s. Not only Jesuits but also important townspeople, nobles from the Klatovy area and other benefactors were buried here. In 1783 the burials were terminated by order of Emperor Joseph II.

The bodies in the oak coffins were gradually mummified and preserved thanks to a sophisticated system of ventilation shafts.

Hiking

Very well prepared information about the history of the catacombs and their mummies. Be sure to visit all the side passages. The entrance fee of 6 EUR per person (2024) is worth it.
