Mountain biking

The F11 was put into operation over 100 years ago, it is the oldest ferry connection in Berlin. Its premiere had the ferry line to the trade exhibition in 1896, owner and ferryman was then the innkeeper of the destroyed in the Second World War "Spreeschloss". In the 1960s, the private ferry to the VEB passenger shipping Berlin (later White Fleet) was sold, today it belongs to the BVG. (Q: Berlin.de)
Since 2014, the new ferry with electric motor and solar cells on the roof.

The bike path signage from south-east to Berlin is aimed at this ferry. The first time I stood at the ferry dock and the ferry did not drive at all. Since then I prefer to use bridges

Mountain biking

The view from the ferry is unique. On one side is a small garden, which, when crossed, leads to Wuhlheide. On the other side of the river is the beautiful Plänterwald. A walk along the Spree is highly recommended.
