The new Hohe Tauern Panorama Trail can be hiked in ten stages. With magnificent views of countless three thousand meter peaks and conveniently with luggage service.

From mid-May 2021, holidaymakers in Austria can look forward to a new long-distance hiking experience. In ten daily stages, the hikers cover a distance of 150 kilometers from the starting point at the foot of the Krimml Waterfalls to the Schmittenhöhe high above Zell am See. You spend the night alternately in the valley or in the mountains. The trail leads across the Hohe Tauern National Park region.

Anyone who recognizes the countless three thousand meter peaks is a master. No matter, the views are tough. On the way there are not only natural spectacles, but also interesting exhibitions, well-kept national park locations and cozy huts to rest. The largest waterfalls in Europe, ancient glaciers and legendary trade routes. Golden eagles at lofty heights, chamois on steep slopes. And if you are lucky, you will find unique emeralds. Nature plays all of the pieces in the Hohe Tauern National Park.
