Proud 24 m high is the stone, white lighthouse Malarrif at Londrangar, on the southwestern tip of the peninsula Snaefellsness. It has been in operation since 1946, after which there had been an iron grille with a beacon since 1917. Constructor of the idiosyncratic tower with its red, cast-iron lantern was Agust Palsson.
