The Grafensteiner See is a 5.8 hectare lake in Steinfurt. Both in summer and in winter, the Grafensteiner See is always worth a visit. Whether for a walk, a bike tour or just to enjoy nature - the Grafensteiner See offers numerous possibilities. Please note that the smaller of the two lakes is an NSG.

These two pretty lakes are in a nice environment. Small roads with little traffic lead there. The one lake is NSG. Countless water birds have an undisturbed refuge here. There is also an observation hut, which is already getting a bit old. In addition, the wall is so high boarded that a small person (like me 1.54 cm) can not look over there. Pity ! So I had to watch and take a photo of the side of the barbed wire fence.
And there was a lot of filth and paper around. People, take your garbage with you, you're dragging it there too. I do not understand.
The other lake is the fishing waters of the fishing club Steinfurt. I did not walk the path around the lake, as planned, because a sign "private road" was set up and I did not know how "private" that actually is.
Nevertheless, you can run over there or drive. It is very quiet there.
