The old town house is the building on the market and was the town hall of Strausberg for years. Next to the Strausssee ferry one of the most beautiful marriage sites in Strausberg.

The old town house is located at the top of the market and was built around 1819 in the classicist style. The first public library in Strausberg was founded here in 1901. Since April 2004, the Heinrich Mann Library (City Library) has been back in the old town house.

The old town hall is the most worth seeing building on the market square and was Strausberg town hall for many years. In addition to the Straussee ferry, it is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Strausberg.
The stone coat of arms in front of the town hall was erected around 1985. The artist is unknown.
