The beautiful old village church is located directly on the main road (bike path). The main house of the church consists mostly of rocks and thus immediately catches the eye of the viewer & commutler.

Interesting: The "inner" architecture and design is very reminiscent of the (approximately 30 km south) lying St. Peter's Church in Müden (Aller).

Most of the St. Marienkirche in Eldingen was built in the 14th century. The church has a stone nave with a tiled roof and a wooden bell tower. A predecessor church was mentioned in a document as early as 1231, which stood here.

The church is just very beautiful. We were lucky enough to be able to visit the church through a very friendly Texican sexton. The wood-carved altar from 1425 is particularly worth seeing. The Eduard Meyer organ dates from 1853.
