The "Bassin du Paradis" is the oldest part of the medieval port which can accommodate up to a hundred boats. Only about twenty fishing boats perpetuate the tradition.

It is close to Calais Nord, the shopping streets, the historic fishing quarter of Courgain Maritime and the Place du Minck with the monument to rescuers.
