  • This beautiful town hall made of brick and natural stone is located in a beautiful green environment. It was designed in Flemish Renaissance style with Tudor influences, and built on the border of the original city of Calais and the city of Saint-Pierre, to seal the merger of the two municipalities. Although construction began in 1911, the City Hall was not completed until 1925 due to damage in WWI. It also suffered damage in WWII. Inside, a stained glass window illuminates the state stairs and commemorates the retreat of the English.

The belfry has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2005. It has been completely restored and equipped with a lift. With its 75m height, it offers a panorama of the city and the port. Since 1961, it has had an electronic carillon that plays Gentille Annette by Boieldieu every hour.

  • The town hall in the style of the Flemish Renaissance was built only from 1910 to 1922 and has a belfry (bell tower). Like 21 other belfries in the region and the Tour du Guet, it is a World Heritage Site.
