On the western slope, at approximately 175 meters above sea level, is the "ski hut," which existed during the GDR era and was used by the Kutschenberg Ski Friends Association. After the expiration of a lease for the ski hut and the adjacent slope in 2009, the use of the slope and hut was temporarily discontinued.
