In 1679, Loss Haubold von Miltitz built the Kroppen castle on Scharfenberg. In 1855 it became the property of Count August von Bohlen, who also had the park created from 1884. In 1914 Baron Albrecht von Cramm acquired the castle. In 1948 it was blown up and demolished at the disposal of the Hoyerswerda district administrator. Only the so-called basement house is left.
