Finding the way is sometimes difficult, but for the most part you can orientate yourself on the red trail markings. Climbing harness and rope are not absolutely necessary, provided that climbing in UIAA II is problematic! Helmet is strongly recommended as stones are repeatedly kicked off and thunder into the valley. In many places there are also metal eyelets to be able to secure yourself should you decide to take a rope with you.

The sun's peak can be crossed from south to north-east.

The path is consistently marked with red dots, which you never have to look out for too long. With a little feeling for the best way, orientation is not difficult.

The path is partly narrow and exposed. Some climbing spots reach up to UIAA II. On the narrow and airy summit grade, a little courage is perhaps necessary for about 40 meters. Otherwise, surefootedness and a head for heights are absolutely necessary.

You should definitely wear a helmet.

A short section along a wall is secured with steel cables. You can hold on to that. A via ferrata set could be used, but is certainly not necessary.

Perfect belays with chains are drilled in above all the climbing spots, so that you could secure them with a rope. But there are almost no intermediate safeguards. Only a few traverses are equipped with a kind of sow tail, for which no quickdraws are required. There is also a drilled belay in front of the summit ridge. After about 20 meters there is the first intermediate protection. It is another 20 meters to the last intermediate belay above the climbing point. From there about 40 meters to the summit cross. With a 30 meter rope you can do the tour well. It would certainly have been possible without a rope.
