The landscape is an absolute pleasure! The climbing itself is also perfect, as you mostly climb on the rock.

Only the difficult passages are provided with pins.

Total duration (without breaks) approx. 05:45 h with very good fitness and KS experience up to D.

With a summit rest, photos at the lake, food on the Seebensee Alm, I was on the road for about 8 hours.

Approach to Seebensee by bike from the Ehrwalder Almbahn valley station approx. 01:15

Via ferrata (4h total) to the start approx. 40min - start to the summit approx. 02:00h descent approx. 01:15 to Seebensee

    Descend by bike approx. 30min

The approach from Sebensee should be chosen correctly, otherwise you will end up in steep, unsecured terrain. At the KS / Coburger Hütte fork, turn left in the direction of KS, but then follow the path on the right up quite a bit and do not cross the scree field.

The climb itself has 3 difficult sections in the first part (C/D, D and C/D). The pure D section is definitely the most difficult, but is easy to solve with friction climbing thanks to the pins set. A rest sling can definitely help to cope with the spots, although it can also be fatal if it doesn't go in fast enough.

I can't see an E spot that many people see here. Also overhanging is the wrong term. They are almost vertical walls, which are provided with pins for this purpose.

Anyone who masters D will not have any extreme problems despite the effort.

I think you only get problems if you overestimate the length of the climb or your own ability. In any case, start early, preferably before the first train ride.

The climb is not recommended when it is raining and is probably actually classified as difficulty E, since, as mentioned, it has hardly any stepping stones.

The C/D position in the second part is "harmless" compared to the 3 above-mentioned positions.

The descent is initially in steep terrain, but becomes more and more moderate in the direction of Coburg. All the rubble can be annoying, but unfortunately it is part of it.

Descent from the Coburger very relaxed and easy.

In terms of landscape and climbing, this is a completely successful via ferrata with a great route.
