There are two linen weavers at the fountain, reminiscent of the heyday of Wendland linen weaving. The bronze sculpture depicts an old Wendland farmer examining a piece of linen woven by her daughter. The stylized canvas lists the 19 districts that have been part of today's “Groß” Lüchow since the regional reform of 1972. Linen was once woven in all of these former villages.
