Hiking

Unusual at the Jakobuskirche is their freestanding bell tower, whose construction was begun in 1474. Baumeister was probably Nikolaus Hirz from the Rhineland. The construction was not completed. After the work had been stopped on him in 1516, the bell tower received a simple roof. With a weight of 8 tons, the St. James's Bell was the largest in the tower. It was destroyed at the end of World War II
