Nice, less traveled route on the way to Oberems - and then on to Schmitten, into the Wilstal, over Niederems into the Emsbachtal or up to the Feldberg! From the end of the village in Oberrod, a paved dirt road leads up to the B8 and then directly to Oberems. Good alternative to the fast-moving B8.

A beautiful, quiet section between Niederrod and Oberrod with good asphalt and a beautiful view. If you don't mind a small detour, this is definitely a great alternative to the Heftrich -> Kröftel -> Ober Ems route.
