Flat but satisfied 😃😎Comments will follow, including yesterday's! 😇But now this much: The Wetterau has always been very (!!!) beautiful so far!And for us that was currently the most beautiful tour in the area - stunning nature and nature reserves, great views - and every now and then through villages, including good refreshment stops 🤗By the way, part of the tour leads through waist-high grass at the end, but yes, that's a path (G1) ... and it gets better below 👍

The goal is definitely worth it: You have to look for such a beautiful, protected wetland habitat!Actually there are two biotopes, because the Pfaffensee is beautiful too, but we liked the reed a little better, it looks more "swampy".In fact, the area is often reminiscent of the dike landscapes in Northern Germany! Thanks at this point to the FAZ (or "Frank A. Zett" 😉) for the suggestion, we have varied the round a bit, including starting in Bingenheim at the Bingenheimer Ried car park.GPS input: Weidgasse, the rest of the way is signposted. The route can be varied, there are still some interesting places and places in the area. It's shorter and considerably longer, there are several places to stop for refreshments, e.g. Italian Ristorante in Reichelsheim, we also saw something in Gettenau and - also on the descent - in Echzell.Paths range from - quite a lot - asphalt to rather unpaved, uneven and slightly to heavily overgrown dirt roads.

Round from Steinfurth on large parts of the Wettertal hiking trail starting at the "Im Kirschgarten" car park.We followed the hiking trail almost completely, but at the end in Steinfurth we left it and walked through the beautiful meadows next to the Wetter to the parking lot. This is a little shorter than the entire route, but the landscape is very beautiful and feels a bit closer to the water, as it is completely flat! The tour: Lots of variety, lots of protected landscape areas - lots of storks and loud frogs croaking in the Wisselsheim salt marshes.First walking in the floodplain, then through Wisselsheim and from there to the mountain ranges - with a very wide view, and finally to the skyline! Most of the paths are left in their natural state, some of them directly through the meadow! The round can be made shorter or longer in several places if necessary - there are few rest stops directly along the way, restaurants and cafés are most likely in Steinfurth - or in the neighborhood! It's worth it! 👍👍👍

Hiwweltour Neuborn 🤔 ... yes, you can also pass the rather hidden spring ...But the round should rather be called Hiwweltour Burgunderturm or Tour of the Far Views - these are the lasting impressions after the tour! And of course you shouldn't forget the beautiful and picturesque Rommersheim - the fulcrum of the tour, so to speak! All together a very nice round in any case! 👌🙂Quite a bit steeper and more unpaved at one point or another, also with light trail sections, but overall very relaxed to walk - and well signposted 👍Of course also with nice rest areas and refreshment stops (in Rommersheim and Wörrstadt, here is directly on the route and very idyllic e.g. the Waldgasthof Neuborn)A good starting point is the hiking car park Neuborn 1 in Wörrstadt - alternatively you can also start it from the Wörrstadt train station, then it will be a good 12 km.Have a nice evening!

The weather was gracious ... it only rained properly at the Vogelsberger See ... ☹Apart from that ... 🙂
A beautiful area right at the gates of Hanau!Much and very varied nature, from the heather-like landscape with fruit growing to beautiful pine and beech forests to the unique area around the renatured, former quarries. The paths range from the forest autobahn to the slightly sporty single trail. They then led us to the most beautiful places on the tour.Overall, hardly any asphalt, many paths are natural and very pleasant to walk.Food would also be provided, but it was too wet and cold for us today to stop. The starting point for us was the parking lot at the Steinheim dog park on Lämmerspieler Strasse, then the lap won't be too short either. But you shouldn't plan too long so that you can still explore one or the other place at the quarries!

Today something of everything: river, city, culture, industry, industrial culture, vineyards, meadows, forests and fields - on asphalt, gravel, dirt roads and on single trails!Sometimes flat and sometimes with a great view over the plain, plenty of rest and refreshment opportunities - all in all: Screams for repetition! 👍👍👍Then from Falkenberg (Keramag) we will orientate ourselves more towards the Main. Here, too, there are ways that we have unfortunately overlooked today. The starting point for us was the free parking lot on Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer with a great view of the Main. The part has almost a maritime flair 🙂 ... and there are also good restaurants here - but you can also walk the tour itself very easily from the train station!

Nice tour in the Hochtaunus, on historical paths, it starts directly from the terminus of the U3 in Oberursel-Hohemark.Good parking spaces are also available at the Taunus Information Center for visitors coming by car, for a fee, but affordable. There are also restaurants here, currently to go, but at least! Our goal: The world of the Celts or one of their largest settlements or hilltop castles, the Oppidum Heidetränke.taunus.info/angebote/kultur-und-geschichte/kelten-und-roemer/keltensiedlung-heidetraenk-oppidum/2903The Keltenweg that ran through the settlement was too short for us, we lengthened it.And it's worth it: Great views and if you choose the way back to the middle of the oppidum, you won't miss anything on the actual Celtic Path. All round recommendable round, not difficult, but a bit strenuous to walk, but very varied! 👍

Today contrast program to last Sunday:Flat Rhine island or plain instead of mountains. And the Kühkopf-Knoblochsaue is definitely the first choice. We tried to get a short, beautiful round trip without overlapping from Stockstadt to the Rhine.Short is relative on the Kühkopf - everything impressively wide, but still varied! And so we came together for almost 13 beautiful km.You can certainly run more variedly, but then it becomes a lot further and it is also shorter, but then you don't get to the Rhine. In any case, we were very satisfied - and the way back over the Apfel-Allee is particularly impressive because of the unbelievably wide meadows - even if the path is paved as a former ferry feeder. But the Bärlauch-Allee has also more than earned its good reputation. You can park very well in front of the bridge in idyllic Stockstadt. We'll be back for sure. There is still a lot to discover ... 👍

Seen it yesterday on komoot, saved it and just followed it up.A relatively short, but very beautiful loop from Balduinstein - parking lot just before the castle ruins - to the Lahn and then up to the Lahnhöhenweg.Always follow this, then you come out with wonderful views in the forest in front of Schloss Schaumburg. The character of the tour changes here, the paths become wider and lead through light beech forest directly to the fairytale castle. From there on good trails always downhill back to Balduinstein.Nice tour, the vertical meters don't look like much, but it is quite steep at the beginning and next to the Lahnhöhenweg it is also steeper downhill in some places. We will definitely do it again - and then take a closer look at the castle and hopefully the gastronomy as well! Conclusion: vacation on the doorstep!
