On a beautiful day this is a wonderful ride but if it's blowing a gale you'd better hope it's a tailwind. Also although I've chosen a road bike there are some great tracks for an MTB

Wonderful sense of freedom with the North Sea on one side and flat meadowland on the other. You do catch the wind here but it's level and a pretty smooth surface. Careful of walkers and their dogs though, advance warning always appreciated.

It is very exposed and on a windy day it can be a battle against the wind
Spend a little time Reculver Towers. There are refreshments and cycle hire along with ample parking at Minnis Bay
