The cycle path leads along the shore past Westgate Bay and the iconic blue and yellow beach huts of Westgate-on-Sea. Around the headland cliffs to the west, the town's second blue flag beach St Mildred's comes into view. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the Victorian seaside resort as well as public toilets at Westgate Bay.

Quiet in the Winter but busy in summer, Not cycleable between the toilets and cafe due to local restrictions, which are enforced with a heavy hand

Some sections are ‘no cycling’ between May and September from 10am-6pm. This only applies to an ~100m section where all the beach huts are.
