The Pauluskirche in Lichterfelde is located on the broad central strip on Hindenburgdamm. In the meadow in front, runners can do exercises to loosen up during the run. The church can be integrated in conjunction with a run on the Teltow Canal for a change in a running track together with the Mäusebunker and the Schlosspark Lichterfelde.

The Lichterfelde Protestant church was dedicated to Saint Paul. Initially an opponent of the Christian movement, he was not called to the apostleship by Jesus Christ during his lifetime, unlike the other apostles, but was only later converted through the famous "Damascus Experience" (see Acts of the Apostles, chapter 9).
His attribute, with which he is usually depicted in paintings or as a statue, is the sword with which he was executed. According to Roman law at the time, such a sentence was a "privilege" (a swift death, not associated with a long, painful death struggle like other forms of execution) reserved for the citizens of Rome.
Peter, along with Paul, is also known as the "Prince of the Apostles"; their common feast day in the calendar of saints is celebrated on June 29th.
