The Wertacher Hörnle is a simple hiking mountain at 1695 meters, which is visited a lot by snowshoeers and ski tourers in winter. In summer it is often used by families with children due to its low difficulty. Several paths lead up, one over the south side in two and a half hours from Obergschwend (1050 meters altitude, between Unterjoch and Oberjoch). On this one passes the Buchel-Alpe.
