Wertacher Hörnle Summit

Although the Wertacher Hörnle is not a high Alpine peak, it still offers great views of the Upper and Eastern Allgäu foothills of the Alps and the Allgäu mountains. At a height of 1,695 meters, the Wertacher Hörnle is the highest geographical point in the community of Wertach. A little below the summit is the picturesque Hörnlesee.

The mountain is easy to climb and is well suited as a family tour or tour with small children. In winter, the Hörnle is very popular with snowshoe hikers.

When we were there the last time you saw the lake because of the fog only when you had almost wet feet, but it is nice here anyway.

Beautiful summit, easy to walk on even earlier in the year, as it is largely snow-free except for a few passages.
