Falkenstein Summit Viewpoint

The Falkenstein-Schwarzau Nature Park in the mountains between Rax and Schneeberg is rather small at 14 ha. Nevertheless, there is much to see in the landscape of the karst area: flat meadows on the banks of the Schwarza and gently sloping slopes can be found as well as rock formations, half caves, karst springs and waterfalls. The highest point marks the Falkenstein with 1,011 meters.

There are now 2 tables to rest, a very popular destination on the weekend and little space on the small plateau at the summit cross. Tip to all hikers with dogs: do not let the leash off as it goes very steeply over the edge ...

From the summit, directly on the edge of the rock face, there is a view of Schwarzau. Also a rest area with table and bank is furnished;).
