The castle and meadow park asks beautiful foot and bike paths, a great water playground with lots of green space around it for picnics. A kiosk and toilets are also available. When the weather is nice there is a lot going on.

Extensive castle and meadow park between the Lippesee, Thunhof and Neuhaus castles. Everything from children's playgrounds, memorial stones, biospheric reserves and great floodplain landscapes can be experienced here!

The approximately 42-hectare palace and floodplain park, which - including the center of Schloss Neuhaus - extends over a length of 2.4 km, is characterized by the central palace park and the surrounding floodplain landscape of the Pader, Alme and Lippe rivers.

Before the State Horticultural Show, the Pader, Alme and Lippe floodplains presented the typical image of floodplain areas used for agriculture.

The shore zones had been filled in and secured. Here and there a few pollard trees grew and cows and sheep grazed on the pastures enclosed by barbed wire fences. Extensive renaturation measures were necessary to restore the Pader, Alme and Lippe floodplains to a natural river landscape. In order to protect the valuable, sensitive floodplain areas on the one hand, but on the other hand to keep them accessible as public green spaces, they are developed by a system of simple, landscape-appropriate cycle paths and footpaths. In this way, a green axis was created that stretches around eight kilometers from downtown Paderborn to Lake Lippe and offers a variety of leisure, relaxation, experience and adventure opportunities.
