The story of the country house in the north of Hamburg, which has been preserved in its original state and is today home to the "Neuer Kupferhof", is unusual. In 1912, the Hamburg merchant families Semler and Westphal built the estate. The villa became known in the episode under the name "Villa Westphal".In 1938 the German Wehrmacht bought the building. It served the counterintelligence.In 2013, after an extensive renovation, the administrative seminar of the city of Hamburg became the short-term home "Neuer Kupferhof".
