The Saline Island is a twelve-hectare area between the Elbe and the saline canal in Schönebeck (Elbe). A public park was created in this public green area, where locals and guests can meet for sports, nature experiences and recreation.
As part of the IBA Urban Redevelopment 2010, the city of Schönebeck (Elbe) was given the opportunity to develop this industrial wasteland into a recreational space for Schönebeck citizens and visitors.
