You reach the viewpoint on the horn via a narrow ridge. The 522 meter high mountain is a foothill of the Hohestein, with 569 meters the highest mountain of the Muschelkalk mountain range Gobert. From the Horn you can enjoy a wonderful view over the forested hills of Hessian Switzerland.

Here the origin of the Gobert is well explained.

A path of special quality: it leads into the isolated area along the border with Thuringia. It offers nine wonderful viewpoints, forest paths mainly through beech forests, a steep descent through the limestone cliffs and a path over the narrow ridge to the Hörne. The tour is also particularly exciting for those interested in botany, who can enjoy the special lime flora here. With a high proportion of trails and a moving relief, a tour for sporty hikers.

Hörne vantage point, 523m above sea level, from here you have a wonderful view of the Werra Valley, with Bad Sooden-Allendorf, Kleinvach, the Hohe Meißner and a somewhat hidden view of Eschwege with Lake Werra.

Beautiful forest paths lead to this wonderful view over the Werra valley and Kleinvach. From here you can see the Meißner foreland and the town of Bad Sooden Allendorf is at your feet.

Sept. 2021: The castle is currently not open to the public. The gastronomy is to open again in 2022.

A lookout point that is at the beginning or end of a beautiful, secluded and at the same time adventurous path on the premium hiking trail.
My recommendation is to walk this premium hiking trail P 4 clockwise, because from my point of view the impressions increase from step to step.
