Aviator Memorial with Eagle at Roßfeld

A memorial with an eagle under mighty trees serves as a reminder of the fallen pilots. There are also seating areas with a beautiful view of the Rossfeld and the gliding field.

The glider, motor glider, ultralight and model flight divisions are offered at the Roßfeld Air Sports Club. On fine days, the sausage stand set up in the immediate vicinity of the Roßfelsen can offer the hungry hiker a "Roßfeldrote" (grilled red sausage). A hike up to the Roßfeld is exhausting because it goes up a few hundred meters. The hiker is compensated with a wonderful view over the Erm valley and in good weather as far as the Black Forest. You can also watch glider pilots on the weekend or experience something unique as a passenger. Hikes are particularly attractive in autumn: the many forests around Roßfeld shine in bright colors.
