In memory of the deceased flying comrades

The glider, motor glider, ultralight and model flight divisions are offered at the Roßfeld Air Sports Club. On fine days, the sausage stand set up in the immediate vicinity of the Roßfelsen can offer the hungry hiker a "Roßfeldrote" (grilled red sausage). A hike up to the Roßfeld is exhausting because it goes up a few hundred meters. The hiker is compensated with a wonderful view over the Erm valley and in good weather as far as the Black Forest. You can also watch glider pilots on the weekend or experience something unique as a passenger. Hikes are particularly attractive in autumn: the many forests around Roßfeld shine in bright colors.

The gliding area is not yet here, but from this hill you have a nice view.

You can just sit here and watch the glider pilots, who often start and land here on Sundays. The Luftsportverein sells grilled red and drinks on weekends. If you feel like it, you can pay to fly a round with the glider.

Traditionally, representatives of the surrounding air sports clubs commemorate the deceased aviator from all over the world on Dead Sunday.

There is really something going on here when the weather is nice and the flight is in operation.

Young and old have fun watching the glider pilots take off, fly and land.
Red sausages and drinks are also sold. The area clearly indicates where running is allowed and where not.
