The Calverbühl with the linden tree on the summit and the semi-dry grass on the slopes is a large natural monument under nature protection and is under the name Calverbühl approx. 1000 m south of Dettingen a. d. Erms on the W-slope of the Ermstal is also protected as a geotope. It is embedded in the nature reserve Reutlinger and Uracher Alb as well as in the biosphere area Swabian Alb.
