    Hiking

Ennerdale is a great place to visit if you're looking to escape from the world. It's location means it's a bit out of the way, thankfully this means a lot less people.

You can do a circular walk around Ennerdale and the views are fantastic.

    Hiking

Ennerdale Water is the most westerly of the lakes and it's also the most remote. As such, you are afforded a real sense of solitude here at any time of year, even in high season. The glacial lake is 2.5 miles (4 km) long, 0.75 miles (1 km) wide, and 148 feet (45 m) deep. The water is crystal clear and is a fantastic habitat for fish and wildlife.

    Hiking

Lake District is called and known for its waters. I really liked Ennerdale Water because of its possibilty of choise: One way for good and one for bad weather.

The Lake District is of course known for its lakes and therefore named. The lake in the Ennerdale valley has been particularly rewarding, as it has one side each, which should be chosen for hiking in good or bad weather!
