The idyllic local recreation area around the Visselseen is in close proximity to the city center. The "Visselsee II", behind the house of education, is specially designed for dogs. The four-legged friends have their own fenced-in exercise area there and can also cool off in the water on hot days. Visselsee III was opened for swimming in 2010 and offers a large lawn, benches and the fine, around ten meter long sandy beach to cool off on hot summer days.
