The locking locks in the port of Hamburg are used to regulate the ebb and flow and are intended to protect against silting up. However, the Harburg harbor lock serves to adjust to the respective water level.

If you feel like watching the boats a little as they enter the lock and slowly fill (or empty) it with water, this is an excellent place to do so.
If the lock on the north side is closed, you can go over or drive over it. There are a few steps to climb, but there is a rail on the side to push or you can carry the bike.
The lock connects the Süderelbe with the Harburg inland port.
