The canteen in Pyramiden on Svalbard was once the central dining hall of the Soviet mining settlement. The large dining hall could accommodate hundreds of workers and was lavishly decorated, with mosaics, murals, and wide staircases. Today, the building is abandoned, but much of it remains in its original condition. Visitors can enter the canteen as part of guided tours. The place feels frozen in time—quiet, cool, and full of atmosphere. Ideal for lost-place fans and history buffs.
