Hiking
The Hausweiher is the smallest pond in the Westerwald lake district and is located in the municipality of Steinen on the B8 and belongs to the Selters association of municipalities. It was created around 1655 together with the Dreifelder Weiher and, like the Post and Brinkenweiher, was created by the damming of the Holzbach. It is located opposite the Postweiher near Freilingen and can be reached by car over stones in the direction of the Hofgut Schönerlen campsite.
