Please make sure there are no walls along the Ems River when cycling – it's easy to get into the water! The rest area is ideal for all cyclists who want to take a break and recharge their batteries.

If there is a landmark for cyclists, then it is here at the Jann-Berghaus-Brücke on the Ems at the gates of Leer. An absolute must for every cyclist. Don't jerk past it, go there, take a selfi of yourself and your loved one and everything will be fine.
There is also a great view of the Ems and the bridge just mentioned from here.
From here you can take a nice tour along the Ems towards Papenburg, or you can choose the northern route through Bingum, Jemgum and to the ferry in the tranquil Ditzum. Both are good choices.
