Built in 1588 by Venetians from ancient marble fragments, including a headless Roman statue transported here from Ierapetra by the architect Zuane Bémbo.
The polygonal stone house in front of it is a Turkish fountain house from 1860, now a café, and is currently being restored.

The polygonal Turkish fountain house from 1860, today a café, invites for a break to watch the scene on the square. Behind it, the Bémbo fountain, built in 1588 by Venetians, is composed of antique marble fragments, including a headless Roman statue, which the architect Zuane Bémbo had transported here from Ierapetra.
