This self-supporting wooden bridge connects the two banks of the Neckar and is also a real eye-catcher. From here you have a great view of the Hechtkopf headland, at the top of which the Rems flows into the Neckar. Then the two rivers continue their journey towards the Rhine.

Actually two beautiful bridges on the lido.
Unsuitable for taking photos due to the dirty windows

The Neckar beach at the confluence of the two rivers Rems and Neckar offers a unique atmosphere. Located directly at the mouth, the Neckar beach not only invites walkers and cyclists to linger on the water. The Neckarstrand also offers a place for visitors who want to experience a calm and relaxed sunset on the water. With the best view of the architecturally impressive self-supporting wooden bridges over the Neckar and Rems, which frame the “Hechtkopf” headland in between, it is easy to switch off and relax from the everyday center of the city.

The Neckar beach is almost 100 meters long and consists of 350 cubic meters of pure natural sand in its lower part, which was washed up in the mouth area of the Neckar and Rems. The entire complex offers seating stones, play facilities, an information pavilion and a Neckar balcony from which you can look far across the river.

Between 2013 and 2014, the Neckarstrand was created as part of the redesign of the riverside area between the Neckarrems and Hochberg districts of Remseck. The city of Remseck am Neckar wanted to make the river accessible to its citizens again and to create a place to relax and meet. Back then, the water and shipping office, which restored some of its aging embankments in a natural way, and the Stuttgart Region Association, which subsidized the around 2.2 million expensive measure as part of its landscape park concept with one million euros, were also on board .

With the Neckar Valley Cycle Path, the Alb-Neckar Cycle Path, the Remstal Cycle Route and the Württemberger Wine Cycle Path, four long-distance cycle paths lead directly past the Neckar beach.
