Emsdeich Cycle Path Jemgum–Ditzum

The section to the left of the Ems is a beautiful tour that takes us from Jemgum to Ditzum. From there the path can continue along the Dollart to the Dutch border, from where we can get through the Rheiderland to Niew Schanze, or we can take the ferry to Emden in Ditzum, from where we can get to the large port city, or ourselves Move back towards Leer via Oldersum.
There are some interesting observations to be made along the route. You shouldn't miss the church in Critzum on the route, one or the other view of the Ems and Dollart, as well as tranquil villages on the route.

Lots of sheep, sometimes the path goes right through the sheep's grazing area. Advantageous: Driving from Emden in the direction of Leer you usually have a tailwind.

Good cycle path, but the sheep droppings, especially in the rain, are not fun🤪🫣
