The Memorial Concentration Camp Leipzig-Thekla is located on Theklaer Street in Abtnaundorf, just outside the former camp of the concentration camp external camp. The prisoners had to do forced labor at Erla Maschinenwerk GmbH. On April 18, 1945, at least 80 of the 304 inmates remaining in the camp Theklaer Strasse / Heiterblickstraße fell victim to the massacre of Abtnaundorf perpetrated by Gestapo employees, SS members and Volkssturm men.

The concentration camp Leipzig-Thekla in Leipzig was an external camp of Buchenwald concentration camp from early March 1943 to April 1945 for more than 1,450 male concentration camp prisoners (March 1945). The prisoners had to do forced labor at Erla Maschinenwerk GmbH.
